Working Together to Save Salmon
The Thompson-Shuswap Salmon Collaborative (TSSC) is a partnership dedicated to the conservation and restoration of salmon ecosystems in the Thompson-Shuswap region.
Our team combines scientific expertise, Indigenous knowledge, and environmental stewardship to address the urgent needs of salmon conservation. We are united by a mission to protect the salmon and watersheds essential to our communities and ecosystems, fostering sustainable practices that benefit both people and nature.
Our work spans the Thompson-Shuswap region, a diverse and ecologically rich area with critical salmon habitats. This region includes multiple watersheds, each vital for supporting local salmon populations and biodiversity. We aim to create sustainable habitats that benefit both nature and the communities that rely on these watersheds.
We use a holistic approach that integrates scientific research, Indigenous knowledge, and community input to guide our projects. Our efforts are driven by transparency and accountability, ensuring that our conservation strategies not only address immediate concerns but also support the long-term resilience of salmon ecosystems in the region.
