Working Together to Save Salmon
The TSSC is developing a Thompson-Shuswap Ecosystem Action Plan (the Plan) to summarize the current state of knowledge on salmon ecosystems in the Thompson-Shuswap and to identify strategic actions for protecting and restoring habitat. An accompanying Watershed Profile will offer a more detailed overview of habitat stressors and important features. Additionally, the TSSC has produced ‘What We Heard’ reports that summarize discussion from workshops and highlight key insights that have contributed to shaping Plan. These reports are available here.
Throughout the development of the Plan, the TSSC has compiled both site-specific and cross-cutting actions aimed at improving salmon habitat across the Thompson-Shuswap. Information and research related to these actions, as well as details on salmon populations and habitats in the Thompson, North Thompson, and South Thompson River watersheds can be accessed in the Resource Library.
